Praise the Lord for
raising up a generation of a Covenant keeping, Christian People
More Radical Disciples of Jesus Christ.
To Pray and Proclaim the Word of God, the Truth, righteousness and
faith in the Blood Covenant of Jesus Christ.
A generation committed to Pray and fast for change from
worldliness, greed, spiritual pollution, corruption, secularization,
Paganism, Self centeredness, Profanity, impurity, Islam, sorcery,
witchcraft, idol worship and unholyness.
They shall see and hear together, the Lord will unite their hearts
for a common goal to Proclaim His Gospel and increase their
capacity to receive more spiritual revelation, wisdom and
understanding from heaven.
Job 36:11 If they obey and serve him they shall spend their days
in prosperity and their years in pleasures.
Psalm 89:34 My covenant I will not break, nor alter the word that
has gone out of My lips.
God is a God of Covenant. He never fails. He keeps to His Word and
His own part of a Covenant, even from generation to generation. A
Covenant distinguishes us from the rest of the world and because
we have a Covenant with God that distinguishes us, He draws the
line between us that are His and the rest of the world. Show me
someone that has entered into a Covenant with God and I will show
you someone that the enemy cannot push around. Genesis 9:11-13.
Thus I establish
My covenant with you: Never again shall all flesh be cut off by
the waters of the flood; never again there be a flood to destroy
the earth. This is the sign of the covenant which I make between
Me and you, and every living creature that is with you, for
perpetual generations: I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall
be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth. The
Covenant
between God and man could also be seen in the case that made to
Abram by God. Our heavenly Father made a Covenant with Abram when
He appeared to him when he was ninety-nine years old. God
told Abram that if he would walk before Him blamelessly, then He
would make His Covenant between Him and will multiply him and make
him father of many nations. He would no longer
be called Abram but Abraham because he was made father of many
nations. God told him that He would establish His Covenant with
him and his descendants after him in their generations, for an
everlasting Covenant, to be God to him and his descendants after
him Abram believed with faith and God fulfilled the Covenant in
him and his descendants. We are his descendants. The Covenant of
God is in all of us, according to the Word of God, because we are
Abraham's descendants. Praise God, we have Jesus Christ as our new
Covenant.
Genesis 17:1-7 WHEN ABRAM was ninety-nine
years old, the Lord appeared to him and said, I am the Almighty
God; walk and live habitually before Me and be perfect (blameless,
wholehearted, complete). And I will make My covenant (solemn
pledge) between Me and you and will multiply you exceedingly. Then
Abram fell on his face, and God said to him, 4As for Me, behold,
My covenant
(solemn pledge) is with you, and you shall be the father of many
nations. Nor shall your name any longer be Abram [high, exalted
father]; but your name shall be Abraham [father of a multitude],
for I have made you the father of many nations. And I will make
you exceedingly fruitful and I will make nations of you, and kings
will come from you. And I will establish My covenant between Me
and you and your descendants after you throughout their
generations for an everlasting, solemn pledge, to be a God to you
and to your posterity after you.
Many have fallen asleep and have become cold or lukewarm in their
daily walk with the Lord. Hence, the Lord is giving a stern
warning - a "WAKE UP CALL" - that it is high time that
we reconcile ourselves with His word. Otherwise we will no more be
in the right standing with the Lord and He will spew us out,
robbing us the opportunity of enjoying all His bountiful benefits
and divine
blessings on this earth and also in eternity.
Revelation 3:16 NKJV "So then because you are lukewarm, and
neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My
mouth".
Note carefully the message of the Holy Spirit conveyed to the
Church of the Laodecians, which is applicable to you. Behold, the
Lord is standing at your door and knocking it. You may be under
some deception or may have some emotional feeling that Jesus is in
your heart. Will you "examine yourselves, whether ye be in
the faith; prove your ourselves. Know ye not your ourselves, how
that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?" (II
Cor.13: 5). If you claim that Jesus is in your heart or if you
claim that you have been filled with His Spirit, where is the love
of God "shed abroad in your heart by the Holy Ghost which is
given unto you"? (Rom.5: 5). If you claim to have the Spirit
of Christ in you as in Rom. 8:9, do you really have the mind of
Christ in you the mind which agonizes for the lost souls and for
the poor and needy the mind which is full of His love and humility
(Phil.2: 4-5 & I Cor.2: 16)? Does your Spirit-filled life
manifest the fruit of the Spirit?
Because of your constantly grieving the Spirit of grace by sins
and by treading under foot the Son of God and profaning the Blood
of His Covenant, the Spirit of grace might have left your heart
and He is now no longer in your heart as His Spirit "shall
not always strive with men" (Gen.6: 3).
Remember that Jesus is so long suffering and
merciful that He, the Holy One, whom you have rejected and denied
by your unholy life, has not deserted you once and for all, but is
still standing outside your heart and knocking at the door.
Because you are lukewarm and neither cold nor hot, God is going to
spew you out of His mouth. Do not say that you are spiritually
rich with an abundance of blessings and with rich spiritual
experiences and have need of nothing. You may feel quite content
in your spiritual life. However, you should know that you are
spiritually wretched, miserable, and poor and blind and naked.
That is why the Lord is rebuking and chastening you out of His
great love and mercy.
"Be, therefore, zealous and repent"
immediately.
Revelation 3:16 is understood when we read
Revelation 3:1 "I know your works, that you have a name that
you are alive, but you are dead. This means that we all are not
perfect in the sight of the Lord. Hence the Lord asks us to
"Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that
are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before
God (Revelation 3:2 NKJV). Therefore,
what are we to do in these last days to be found perfect in the
sight of God? The Lord Jesus Christ has given us 4 Golden Divine
Keys to unlock His blessings and to be released from the spirit of
Imperfectness.
Revelation 3: 3 gives us these divine keys
"Remember, therefore, how you received, and heard: hold fast
and repent."
1st key - Receive First of all we must be in
a position to receive the word of God with all our heart. By
receiving the Word of God we are in fact receiving our Savior and
Lord Jesus Christ. We must enrich our selves daily by reading His
Word. We will be blessed if we meditate day and night on His Word
(Ps.1:2). Meditating on the word of God daily brings nourishment
to our souls. We should always remember how we had received the
Word of God at the time of our initial salvation. We tend to
backslide in our spiritual life when we forget our initial
experience of salvation, especially the Word of God through which
we had experienced salvation through the Blood of Jesus
Christ.
2nd key - Hear Hearing the word of God will
develop a strong deep routed faith in us. As it is written,
"Faith comes by hearing the word of God" and once we
hold onto this divine faith we get stronger in our walk with the
Lord. But as a word of caution do not get carried about "with
every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning
craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive".
We should listen to the "truth in love and grow up into Him
in all things which is the Head" (Eph.4:14-15).
Let us not "heap to ourselves teachers, having itching
ears" who will turn away our ears from the truth (II
Tim.4:3-4).
Therefore, friends, it is always safe not
only to hear the Word of God but also to search the Scriptures for
the truth in the Word. In Acts 17:10 to 13, we find that the
people of God in Berea not only received the Word of God preached
to them by the great Paul "with all readiness of mind: but
also "searched the scriptures daily, whether those things
were so". Just because they searched the scriptures daily,
they became "more noble than those in Thessalonica". In
these last days, let us also search the Scriptures daily, to
ensure that the messages preached from the church and evangelical
pulpits conform to the truth of the Word.
3rd key Hold fast Holding fast to the word of God is very
important, no matter how hard the trials and tribulations that we
may come across in our daily lives might be. We should not forsake
the Lord during the period of trials and tribulations because
Satan, the cunning deceiver, is prowling around to devour us
during this period. We should remain firm during this period and
cling to the Lord. Let us say, "Thy word is a lamp unto my
feet, and a light unto my path" (Ps.119:105). During the
period of darkness in our lives, it is only the Word of God that
gives light unto our paths. We should hold fast to the truth that
we have learnt. If we do not do so, we may backslide in our
spiritual
journey. It is the truth of the Word that makes us repent when we
backslide. These days, messages are preached from the pulpits that
do not make us repent of our sins and iniquities. When the tempest
hits our ship, we tend to curse God because we have been taught
that God does not allow trials and temptations in our lives after
we have accepted Jesus Christ as our Savior.
4th key - Repentance To repent means that
when we have done something wrong or caused harm to somebody, our
inner man gets convicted and we experience a sense of guilt for
what we have done and then we begin to feel remorse for the same
and to return to God.
Specially, when we sin against God and man, we have to go back to
God, confess to Him and repent of what we have done. When we sin
against any person, we should go to that person and ask him/her to
forgive us. Repentance takes place when we hear and accept the
truth of the Word. It is the truth of the Word that leads us to
true repentance.
Acts 8:22 "Repent, therefore, of this your wickedness and
pray God if perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven
you". This act of conviction in your heart, of your
wickedness finally leads forgiveness by God if done with a true
heart. Repentance should not be from the lips alone but from the
heart because out of the heart come the thoughts. Therefore,
brethren, we must forsake all our old carnal ways and repent with
all our heart of our sins and iniquities. Our God is a merciful
God, slow to anger and abounding in grace that forgives and
remembers our sins no more.
Acts 3:19 "Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins
may be blotted out, so that of refreshing may come from the
presence of the Lord". Finally, true repentance leads to
deliverance from the bondages that had not allowed us to enter the
Promised Land. True repentance thus paves the way for His grace
and for His abundant blessings. This act of repentance should not
be taken as a one time affair but should be continual because if
we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our
sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (I John 1:9).
Therefore, brethren, here is an golden opportunity to heed to the
WAKE UP CALL. ALL THAT WE HAVE TO DO IS TO TAKE HOLD OF THE 4
GOLDEN DIVINE KEYS. We have to receive and hear the truth in our
hearts, to hold fast to the truth that we have learnt and finally
to repent of our sins and iniquities in the light of the truth
learnt by us. While repenting, we return to our Lord and begin to
walk into the PROMISED LAND THAT THE LORD HAS KEPT BEFORE EVERY
ONE OF US ON THIS EARTH.
Return unto Him before it is too late - before you, "the
children of the Kingdom" are cast into outer darkness
(Matt.8: 12) before "every tree which bringeth not forth good
fruit is hewn down and cast into the fire" (Matt. 3:10) -
before the Kingdom of God is taken from you and given to a nation
bringing forth the fruits thereof (Matt.21: 43) - before the
Bridegroom comes and the door is shut (Matt.25: 10) - before the
Lord spews you (who are the members of the present-day churches
typical of the Church of the Laodecians) out of His mouth
(Rev.3:16).
Unless we repent, there is no point in our returning to Him.
Unless we shed tears over our disobedience to Him, over our sinful
ways, over our failures to evangelize, there is no point in our
returning to Him. Our returning to the Lord is to be preceded by
our repentance. It is time for us to entreat our Lord in the
following prophetic words spoken by Jeremiah :
"O Lord, though our iniquities testify against us, do thou it
for Thy Name's sake: for our backslidings are many; we have sinned
against thee.......why hast Thou smitten us, and there is no
healing for us? We looked for peace, and there is no good; and for
the time of healing, and behold trouble ......We acknowledge, O
Lord, our wickedness, and the iniquity of our fathers: for we have
sinned against thee.Do not abhor us, for Thy Name's sake, do not
disgrace the Throne of Thy Glory; remember, break not Thy covenant
with us........" (Jer. 14:7 & 19-21).
In this context, it is also worth meditating upon Deut. 4:29 to
31. If you truly seek your Lord with all your heart and soul, you
will find Him. When you are in tribulation and all the evils come
upon you " in the latter days", if you turn to the Lord
your God and are obedient to His voice, for the Lord your God is a
merciful God, He will not fail you or forget the covenant of your
fathers which He swore to them.
FORWARD THIS TO A FRIEND. The Lord is faithful, the Lord will
increase us more and more. Praise the Lord for raising up a team
of faithful, disciples, committed, anointed helpers for this
ministry.
