All I have to say to Albert B. Crenshaw (Washington Post writer of "IRS
Secures Victories Against Tax Resisters," November 6, 2005) is this:
You should have attended Irwin Schiff's "trial." One of the last
things the jury heard was the prosecutor telling them, "If you
don't find him guilty, you're breaking the law!"
Later, when the jury asked the judge for a copy of the Internal Revenue
Code, the judge denied the request, claiming that it would be
"problematic." Every day of the five-week trial was like that or
worse.
Seventy-seven-year-old Irwin Schiff is now in chains in a Las Vegas
gulag pending his appeal. Meanwhile, the demand of the tax
honesty movement remains unanswered:
"Show me the law."
