To fellow patriots for liberty and our friends: Below is an 9/1/05 article exposing some big time legal chicanery in the United States Tax Court. The Chicago Tribune had a follow up article in its 11/3/05 "Business" section, entitled "Judges set aside Tax Court Rulings" which referenced a 11/02/05 opinion and holding by the 11th Circuit federal court of appeals, pertaining to Burton Kanter, the attorney who got screwed by this chicanery. I have been unable to open this last article online as the Trib requires registration. I do know that some aspects of this case had been heard by the Supreme Court earlier this year. Having been to the US tax court with friends at least six times and seeing the way we were treated, my gut feeling is that this chicanery is just the tip of the ice berg. This is not only my opinion, but that of Julie Roin, a law professor at the University of Chicago, even though she thinks what the judges did was stupidity rather than a conspiracy. Since the US tax court is an Article One administrative court, these tax court judges are generally former IRS attorneys. They are entrenched, they are arrogant, they are deceptive. It is past time this baby is thrown out with the bath water!!!!
