Stanley for U.S. Senate 2002 - Colorado

"This time make your vote count!" - Rick Stanley, Libertarian for U.S. Senate 2002 - CO
web site index:

HMO & Health Care Reform

Rick supports the right to sue HMOs and insurers, but opposes the government's regulation of the health care industry. Several studies have shown that the Patient's Bill of Rights requires private insurance companies to raise premiums, further preventing middle and lower income earners from purchasing the medical insurance they need. He opposes the creation of a national health care system.

Rick wants to abolish federal agencies such as the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). We advocate abolishing the Federal Health and Human Services Department.

Any health issues that the federal government currently interferes with, should be dealt with by the states or left up to the Individual.

Quotes about Health Care

"If just one drug of the stature of penicillin or digitalis has been unjustifiably banished to a company's back shelf because of exceedingly stringent regulatory requirements, that event will have harmed more people than all the toxicity that has occurred in the history of modern drug development."

- William Wardell
