| Dear Rocky Mountain
News, The Stanley for Senate Campaign formally announces a second campaign. This campaign will expose the Rocky Mountain News for the rag it is acting like. Beginning with the President Bush visit to Colorado, the Stanley for U.S. Senate campaign volunteers, the Tyranny Response Team and the Libertarian Party will picket with the following theme:
Your rag has been informed many, many times that Rick Stanley, the Libertarian Party announced candidate, has filed with the Secretary of the U.S. Senate, the required FEC Form 2, and copies have been provided each time. In most of your stories about Tom Strickland and Wayne Allard, including a recent poll story, the Rocky Mountain News has lied by saying, "Tom Strickland is the only announced candidate that has filed with the Senate." That is not true; you knew it wasn't true and we won't accept this type of irresponsible journalism from what you obviously consider a major news outlet. The Stanley campaign has run a grass roots campaign for the last three months. For the next 15 months, we will picket at every opportunity as a second campaign until the Rocky Mountain News runs a headline on the front page announcing the Stanley for U.S. Senate Campaign with a responsible accompanying story from the information you have already received including my announcement speech. We will expect the same for our Libertarian Governor campaign as well. Watch and Learn! Rick Stanley, P.S. - And just for fun: I canceled my RMN subscription and I'm handing out 2,000 copies of this letter with my Senate Campaign Literature at the Douglas County Fair this weekend and at all future campaign efforts. |
