Senate hopeful Libertarian Rick Stanley and Libertarian
Colorado Governor candidate James Vance are scheduled to
appear in Montrose during the Western Slope Libertarian
Party (WSLP) sponsored Liberty Jam 2001 Saturday, Sept.
15. John Berntson, Chair of the Libertarian Party of
Colorado has also accepted an invitation to attend the
event. Liberty Jam 2001 will be hosted by Players Sports Bar and Grille, 647 E. Main St. at Montrose, and is a fundraiser for WSLP's Committee to Preserve Property Rights, which is asking voters to approve its Property Rights Restoration Ordinance on November's ballot. The ordinance would repeal the anti-smoking ordinance imposed on the community by a mere 32 percent of registered city voters in April. Liberty Jam 2001 will feature a 12-hour live music marathon starting at noon, with food, drink and drawings for prizes. For more information, interested persons may contact WSLP co-chairman Tim Jacobs at [(970)] 249-6242 or WSLP at WesternSlopeLP@yahoo.com . |
